Abstract
1397628 Naphthaleneazo colour couplers KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 26 July 1972 [27 July 1971] 34995/72 Heading C4P [Also in Divisions G2 and C2] Novel colour couplers of the formula (where n is 1, 2, 3 or 4; m is 0, 1 or 2; and R is an optionally substituted phenyl group or an alicyclic group) are prepared by diazotizing appropriately 2-substituted anilines and coupling with appropriately N-substituted 1-naphthol - 2 - carboxylic acid amides. They may be dissolved in organic liquids of Group above 150 C. and incorporated in light-sensitive silver halide emulsions for use in the formation of photographic elements for use in colour photography.
