Abstract

1395888 False twisting PLATT SACO LOWELL Ltd 26 Oct 1972 [29 Oct 1971] 50454/71 Heading DID Yarn is false twisted by contact in succession with two moving deformable twist-imparting surfaces 6a-6d of different hardnesses. The surfaces 6a-6d may progressively increase in hardness and be arranged on two adjacent rotating bushes 11 or on rows of discs. The twisting surfaces may be rings (as shown) or internal sleeves Fig. 3 (not shown). The rings 6a-6d may be colour-coded according to their hardnesses.
