1387887 Pilot light assemblies SOC ITALIANA TECNOMECCANICA LA PRECISA DI DR PeG de STEFANI SAS 12 May 1972 [13 May 1971] 22480/72 Heading F4F A pilot light assembly for the main burner(s) of a gas heating appliance comprises a plate 2 formed with three tubular members 13, 3, 15 which are located in the same plane and support respectively a thermocouple 14 for controlling a safety valve, a burner device 12, and an electrical ignition device 16, the burner being provided with an annular orifice A for a pilot recovery flame and at least one orifice such as B adapted to emit a dart-shaped flame towards the thermocouple 14, the axis of the annular pilot flame being transverse to the axis of the dartshaped flame. The orifice B and two further orifices (B<SP>1</SP>) and (B<SP>11</SP>), Fig. 3 (not shown), which diverge outwardly, are defined between a pair of plates 12a and 12b and effect ignition of gas at three respective main burners, not shown, the orifice A being defined between a cup-shaped member 11 and the plate 12a gas reaches the orifice A via a radial hole 9 and the orifice such as B via an opening 10. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), gas is supplied to the pilot burner from a gas supply pipe 24 via generally tubular members 18 and 20 which are locked together by fins 21, a member 7 provided with a nozzle being located within the member 18.
