Abstract

138,592. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. Feb. 5, 1919, [Convention date]. Regulating.-To prevent surging, the guideblades are adjusted by a simultaneous advancing and rotary motion without the use of pivot pins and guides. The guide-blades D are fixed to toothed wheels A, which are interposed between the toothed rings B, C. The wheels A may be formed as shown in Fig. 3, and may be provided' with teeth, one at each end, formed as a knife edge. The blades D, Fig. 5, are connected to the wheels A by parts G which pass through an opening formed between a partition F on the ring B and the ring C outside the range of the nozzle.
