Abstract
434,363. Elastic - fluid turbines. ZERKOWITZ, G., 8, Giselastrasse, Munich, Germany. March 3, 1934, No. 6847. Convention date, March 31, 1933. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 25, 1934.] [Class 110 (iii)] The turbine has a single wheel of blades 17, supplied with working fluid by nozzles 16, and the fluid leaving the blade ring through an arc b1 passes by way of a channel 18 to two or more channels between guide vanes 19 and re-enters the blade ring over an arc b2. Between the arcs b1, b2, the guide channel tapers in depth from h1 to h2. The rotor 20 may be shaped as shown in Fig. 2. The invention may be applied to axial-flow turbines, and to turbines used in the cold-generation art.
