Abstract

1378214 Seals KORNYLAK CORP 21 March 1972 [25 March 1971] 13044/72 Heading F2B A seal 16 for a conveyer roller comprising a rim 2 rotatably mounted on a hub 4 comprises a disc 18 of elastomeric material having a central bore 20, a flexible annular sealing lip 22 on its outer periphery and at least three circumferentially spaced concentric fingers 24 on a radius such that they grip the outer surface of the hub 4 and retain the seal thereon during assembly. The rim comprises two parts L, R secured together and mounted by a bearing 6 on the hub; the lip 22 engaging an enlarged part 10 of the rim. Each side of the roller is sealed by a seal 16 and the assembly is secured to a wall member 26 by a bolt 30. The seal may be of P.T.F.E.
