Abstract

1365900 Stabilizing ships SPERRY RAND CORP 12 Nov 1971 [23 Nov 1970] 52654/71 Heading B7M A ship stabilizer system comprises a liquid filled tank 200 and a movable float 201 in the tank which varies the effective volume of the tank from one side to the other. Linkage 212 moves the float and there is no free liquid surface within the tank. In the embodiment of Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown) the tank is in two sections 1, 1(a) communicating with each other through bottom ports 17, 17(a) for transfer of liquid.
