Abstract
1365454 Aromatic polyamines BAYER AG 5 Oct 1972 [7 Oct 1971] 45885/72 Heading C2C The invention comprises a process for the preparation of aromatic polyamines wherein one or more aromatic amines are condensed with formaldehyde in the presence of acid catalysts in which the reaction is carried out in two stages, the first stage being carried out in the presence of a volatile solvent, and under reduced pressure, the vacuum being such that the temperature of the reaction mixture does not rise above 40‹ C., and the second stage being carried out at a temperature of at least 80‹ C.
