Abstract

Novel pyrrolidones of formula I are prepared by reducing a corresponding ketocarbonyl compound of formula XXVIII. The symbols in formula I have the meaning given in Patent Claim 1. The resulting compounds of formula I are distinguished, on the one hand, by spasmogenic properties and on the other hand by spasmolytic properties, for example by bronchodilatory, blood pressure-lowering (anti-hypertensive), gastric juice secretion-inhibiting and abortive properties. They may therefore be used as medicaments.
