Abstract

1356453 Condiment receptacles INTERNATIONAL AUTOMATED MACHINES Inc 13 Aug 1971 [14 Aug 1970] 38064/71 Heading A4A [Also in Division B8] A food dispenser 12, 14 or 16 comprises a cavity 34, 36 or 38 formed in a base sheet 32, a cover sheet 40 bonded to the lip around the cavity and having a dispensing aperture or apertures 42 or 44, and a top sheet 52 bonded to the cover sheet over the aperture(s) and readily peelable therefrom. The base sheet may be composed of a plastic which is vacuum moulded to form the three cavities 34, 36 and 38, the cover sheet of a plastic film or plastic-coated paper, and the top sheet of a pressure sensitive adhesive strip of paper, metal foil, or plastic film. The cover and base sheets are cut along lines 48, 48', 50, 50' and the top sheet along lines 54, 56 so that the three dispensers can be separated from one another after the composite package has been die cut at station E. The lines 54, 56 are spaced from the lines 48, 50 so as to form pull tabs for the outer dispensers 12 and 14, while further severing lines 51 in the base and cover sheet form pull tabs for the dispenser 16. The composite packages may be stacked and wrapped by a paper band having an aperture through which the portions 62 of the dispenser 16 project.
