Abstract

1340449 Two-part couplings SIEMENS AG 28 March 1972 [23 April 1971] 14356/72 Heading H2E In telephone equipment, connection is made to an edge of a printed circuit board 1 via a plurality of contact blades, each of which is bent through two right angles so that its terminal end 4, which is soldered to the board 1, and its contact end 5, which is engaged by a socket connector 17, are mutually parallel and perpendicular to the plane of the board. The contact blades are retained in a carrier strip 3 of inverted L-shape; in a modification (Fig. 4, not shown) the contact blade is enclosed in strip 3 except for contact end 5. The strip 3, which provides a guide surface for connector 17, co-operates with a surface 7 of housing 8 to define a connection chamber 6.
