Abstract

1335896 Atomiser KOMBINAT LUFT & KALTETECHNIK VEB 31 July 1971 36243/71 Heading B2F Apparatus for atomising liquids in a stream of gas, for example for use as a humidifier in air-conditioning plant, comprises a central supply means 9 for the liquid and a plurality of concentric annular rotating baffles 6, 7, 8 which are attached to spoked wheels 2, 3. In the figure, air stream 11 sweeping axially through spoked wheels 2, 3 entrains liquid finely atomised by baffles 6 and/or 7. Larger droplets reaching baffle 8 are further atomised and the flange of driving motor 5 carries a fixed spoked wheel 13 with yet another baffle 14 to further increase the atomising effect.
