Abstract

A ring nozzle through which a drying gas is propelled, together with the atomising disc it encloses are arranged centrally with spray nozzles at uniform radial spacing around them, in the cover of a tower for the spray drying of fluids. The tower is cylindrical, with a drain for the dried product. There are feeds for the drying air enclosing the spray nozzles, each of which is connected to a drying air chest, which also supplies the ring nozzle of the atomising disc.
