Abstract
1327006 Vehicle lamps ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 April 1972 [24 April 1971] 18063/72 Heading F4R A motor vehicle head lamp bulb 12 is mounted in an aperture 25 in reflector 11 by means of a plate spring 15 that includes an aperture 47, through which the rear of the bulb protrudes, and two outwardly directed arms 50, 51 each having a slot 54, 55 therein which cooperates with retaining arrangements 32 on the reflector 11 to detachably secure the bulb in position. As shown, the retaining arrangements 32 are lugs punched from the reflector and bent into the plane of the aperture rim 26. Projections 18 on the collar 17 of cap 20 of the lamp 12 engage a notch 29 in the reflector rim 26. An apertured plate 14, for mounting auxiliary or side lamp bulb 13, has reduced diameter sections 35, 36 that engage tongues 52, 53 of plate spring 15 to be located thereby with limited rotation defined by shoulders 37-40. Bayonet-like apertures 54, 55 enable the lugs 32 of the reflector to engage grooves 56, 57 in plate spring 15 thereby to secure the bulb 12. Radial pins on cap 23 of side lamp bulb 13 engage recesses 45 in bracket 41 forming part of plate 14 and are held in contact therewith by a spring 43 forming a contact to the bulb.
