Abstract
1325710 Windows CODE DESIGNS Ltd 19 April 1971 [12 Feb 1970] 6834/70 Heading E1J An alternative movement sash window comprises a sash 6 mounted in a fixed frame 2, 3, 4 and pivotable about a pivot 18 at one end or about a central pivot 11. An intermediate frame 8 of T-section has a lower part 10 fixed to the frame 3, 4 and an upper part 9 connected by hinge 11 to part 10 and by pivot 18 to sash 6. A locking bolt 19 is slidably secured to the side of part 9. When the bolt is engaged at its upper end in a recess 27 in frame member 2, the part 9 is fixed, but sash 6 is pivotable outwardly on pivot 18 (Fig. 6). When bolt 19 is engaged with a plate 20 on sash 6, the sash and part 9 are pivotable on hinge 11 to a reversed position (Fig. 7). Release of bolt 9 then allows repair (Fig. 8).
