Abstract

1323937 Developer sheet FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 23 Sept 1970 [26 Sept 1969] 45371/70 Heading D2B A developer sheet for pressure-sensitive recording papers comprises a support having two adjacent layers coated on the same side thereof, the layer nearest to the support containing 100 parts by wt. of binder and 0 to 500 parts by wt., based on binder, of a colour developer and the layer furthest from the support containing 100 parts by wt. of colour developer and 0 to 20 parts by wt., based on the colour developer, of a binder, the parts being calculated after drying. The colour developer may be acid clay, active clay, attapulgite, bentonite, halloysite, zeolite, magnesium trisilicate, CaSO 4 , ZnSO 4 , CaF 2 , calcium citrate, or an oil-soluble acid-reacting polymer, e.g. a polymer of p-phenylphenol and formaldehyde. The binder may be starch, casein, phenol and formaldehyde. The binder may be starch, casein, polyvinyl alcohol, styrene-butadiene rubber latex or methyl methacrylatebutadiene rubber latex. The developer sheet may also be coated with a layer containing a colour-former to form a single recording paper.
