Abstract

1313401 Break spinning; openers; rollers and drafting aprons SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN GmbH 28 April 1970 [5 May 1969] 20231/70 Headings D1D and D1N A break spinning machine comprises a sliver feed device 48 and a fibre separating device 50, each device having a separate drive so that the separating device 50 can be run with the feeding device 48 stopped. There is also a baffle plate 28 in the rotor and a rotor cover 20 which has apertures only for the admission of fibres and withdrawal of spun yarn and otherwise seals against communication between the rotor and the surrounding atmosphere. The separating rollers 50 can have smooth or knurled surfaces. The feeding device 48 can comprise sliver drafting aprons. The feed rollers or drafting aprons can be pressed together by a spring. The device can comprise a stop motion acting an absence of spun yarn to stop the feed rollers 48 via electromagnetic clutch 144.
