Abstract

1312068 Lubricants WITCO CHEMICAL CORP 11 May 1970 22724/70 Heading C5F A textile lubricant comprises, by weight : (1) 60-70 parts mineral oil; (2) 4-6 parts of a phosphoric acid ester of an ethylene oxide adduct (2-20 mols. ethylene oxide mol.) of a C 8 -C 18 linear aliphatic alcohol, a C 10 -C 20 branched chain aliphatic alcohol, a mono- and/or di-(C 5 -C 12 )alkyl phenol or a mixture thereof; (3) 5-8 parts of an alkanolamine; (4) 4-6 parts of one or more fatty acids (predominantly C 14 -C 18 fatty acids); (5) 10-12 parts sulphonated sperm oil; (6) 4-6 parts of an ethylene oxide adduct (2-8 mols ethylene oxide/mol.) of a C 10 -C 18 linear alcohol, a C 12 -C 20 branched alcohol or a phenol as above; and (7) 3-4 parts of an alkanolamide of a C 16 -C 18 fatty acid. The composition may be emulsified with 80- 95 wt. per cent of water.
