Abstract

1,179,184. Lubricants; fuels. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. 24 April, 1967 [26 April, 1966], No. 18688/67. Heading C5F and C5G. A two-stroke gasoline composition comprises gasoline, 20-60 vol. per cent of C 5 or C 6 branched, saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, 0-15 vol. per cent of olefins and a lubricant; the composition containing not more than 0À1 g. (calculated as metal) of ash-forming anti-knock additives/3À78 litres of gasoline. The lubricant may be a mineral oil and may contain the amide mixture formed from C 16 -C 32 fatty acids and polyalkylene polyamines, the succimide derivative of a C 30 -C 200 alkyl or alkenyl succinic acid or anhydride and a polyalkylene polyamine, and alkaline earth metal salts of sulphonic acids.
