Abstract

1308283 Pipe couplings; drill pipe couplings HEATH & SHERWOOD DRILLING Ltd 21 Jan 1971 [31 March 1970] 2906/71 Headings F2G and F2U [Also in Division E1] Aluminium alloy drill pipes 10, 11 are connected by threaded steel couplings 12, formed of two. parts 13, 14 screwed together at 17, 18, and the joints are strengthened by co-operating annular shoulders 23, 24; 25, 26; 31, 32; and 33, 34. The threads 21, 22 may receive a threadlocking compound. An 0-ring seal 29 may be accommodated in a groove 30, the outer surfaces of the pipes and the coupling are flush.
