Abstract

1307852 Hydraulic reciprocating pumps or motors R C CLERK 9 June 1970 [25 April 1969] 21242/69 Heading F1A In a pump or motor having a relatively rotatable port face 1 and cylinder block 4, the cylinders are connected to the following port, during travel between the ports, through an orifice 6 or 7 having an impedance 8, 9 to prevent concussion. The impedance may be of porous sintered metal, as shown, or a threaded rod. For reversible rotation, the orifice 7 arrangement is used with the orifice connected to the intake and delivery ports 2, 3, through check-valves 10, 11. For uni-directional rotation, the orifice 6 arrangement is used with the orifice connected to one port.
