Abstract

1307631 Cleaning solvent IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 June 1971 [7 July 1970] 32943/70 Heading C5D The cleaning properties of trichlorotrifluoroethane are enhanced by mixing it with methylal (dimethyl formal). The preferred isomer is 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane and the preferred mixture is of azeotropic proportions. In an example, a printed circuit board is cleaned of soldering flux by immersion in the boiling solvent mixture.
