Abstract
1306131 Stackable wire trays BANNER METALS Inc 29 April 1970 20583/70 Heading A4H [Also in Division B8] A stackable and nestable receptacle 10 comprises rectangular wire rods 12, 26, rod 26 being provided with loops 26a, bottom wires 14, upper support members 16 formed by looped portions of rod 12, lower support members 18a formed by the ends of transverse looped wire rods 18 and vertically aligned with upper members 16, looped wire rods 20 forming brackets inter-connecting the upper and lower members 16, 18a, a transverse stiffening rod 22, and side rods 24 provided with loops 24a. The receptacles are stacked in vertical alignment, Fig.3 (not shown) by loops 18a engaging members 16 of the receptacle below, and in a vertical displaced inclined arrangement Fig.2 (not shown) by loops 24a engaging members 16 of the receptacle below. The receptacles are nested by loops 26a engaging members 16 of the receptacle below. A modified receptacle Fig.4 (not shown) includes rectangular wire rods (52, 56), rod (52) supporting a tray (54) Fig. 5 (not shown) spaced from the bottom. The lower support members (66a) are formed by looped ends of transverse looped wire rods (66), and the upper support members are formed by the apices (68a) of inverted V-shaped wire rods (68) welded to the rods (66). Members (66a) engage members (68a) and parts (73) of the receptacle below during stacking and nesting respectively.
