Abstract

1305531 Delivering sheets TIMSONS Ltd 11 Jan 1972 [1 Feb 1971] 3644/71 Heading B8R A sheet conveyer comprises a cylinder 10 housing a bar 18 carrying sheet impaling pins and arranged to be movable to alternately project and retract the pins through holes 10a in the cylinder surface. Stationary eccentrics 14 carry arms 16 linked to the pin bar 18 through links 17. As the cylinder rotates the arms 16 are carried round the eccentrics and their oscillation is transmitted to the bar. The eccentrics are secured, one at each end of the cylinder to the bearing housings for the cylinder drive shaft 11 by screws 15 in flanges 14a of the eccentrics. The screws may be slackened to permit angular adjustment of the eccentrics thereby varying the times at which the pins are projected and retracted. The conveyer is stated to be useful in conveying sheets or sets of sheets from a cutter to a folder.
