1304373 Mattresses M GOLD 7 July 1970 [15 July 1969, 10 Oct 1969] 35522/69 and 49853/69 Heading A4M A mattress comprises a stiff panel 1 of layered construction, at least one layer of which is corrugated to define ducts permitting flows of air for ventilation, the panel 1 having padding may comprise glued together corrugated layers 5, 6 of cardboard, plastics, perforated metal, wood or compressed fibrous material with or without a central core 4 of polystyrene or foam plastics. The padding layers 2, 3 may be of foam plastics, wool/felt, hair or rubberized hair. The layers 2, 3 may have different densities. The mattress is fitted in a padded or quilted envelope 7 optionally provided with a zip fastener 8.
