Abstract
1303890 Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure GILLETTE CO 9 Sept 1970 [9 March 1970] 43093/70 Heading F1R A pressurized dispenser valve assembly which acts both as a discharge and a re-filling valve comprises a mounting cup 2, Fig. 2, retaining a housing 6 in which there is a spring-biased slidable sleeve 12 containing a spring-biased slidable valve member 26 which is depressed by a stem 34 to permit discharge of a mixture of product and propellant gas and after the stem has been replaced by a filling nozzle 42, Fig. 3, the member 26 is further depressed until spring 32 is solid and sleeve 12 is unseated thus permitting flow of product to fill a container. During dispensing, product passes through diptube 24 to mix with gas entering through side opening 20 and ports 8 in the housing 6 and the mixture passes around a series of lugs 30 on the valve member 26 and through a slot 40 in the stem 34. During re-filling, product enters through opening 44, a series of lugs 18 on the sleeve 12 and the ports 8.
