Abstract

1298679 Building frameworks E G RENSCH 19 Dec 1969 [23 Dec 1968] 61980/69 Headings E1K and E1W A structure comprises horizontal beams 1 connected to longitudinal ribs of columns 2 and junction pieces 2a to form a triangular grid. The beams are of U-section and a pair of beams is secured to each rib. Junction pieces 2a are of identical cross-section to the columns but equal in length to the width of the beams. In Fig. 2a (not shown) beams 1 support ceiling elements comprising triangular panels (27), corrugated metal sheets (18), insulation (19) and a skin (21) covered by gravel. In Fig. 3 (not shown) columns 2 and intermediate columns (28) support glazing (5) and wall panels (38, 33), and spacers (35) and clamps (37) secure insulation (34) and panels (36). The columns are anchored by plates secured in the foundation and to the interior or arms of the columns.
