Abstract

1468805 Foundations for buildings; structural panels BRITISH ALUMINIUM CO Ltd 2 April 1974 [3 April 1973] 15898/73 Headings E1A and E1K A foundation 2, Fig. 1, for a prefabricated building such as a greenhouse is constructed by inserting a number of panels 9 partially into the ground so that their upper edges are co-planar and then mounting a base such as a sill 8 thereon to receive the building. The panels 9 may be of channel configuration. corrugated or consist of a flat plate mounted between stakes, see Figs. 3-9 (not shown). Again, the panels 9 may be provided with anchorages 17, Fig. 11, welded thereto or by pressed out portions serving as anchorages, see Fig. 10 (not shown). The panel 9 may again be of flanged construction, see Fig. 12 (not shown) and is made of plastics or aluminium which may be treated with bitumastic paint or anodised.
