1298258 Manufacture of methylene bridge poly arylamines IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 24 June 1971 [7 Aug 1970] 38140/70 Heading C2C A method of preparing methylene bridge polyarylamines by reacting formaldehyde and a primary arylamine in the presence of an acid catalyst is characterized by adding a major proportion of the formaldehyde to the arylamine and then the remainder of the formaldehyde substantially instantaneously. The corresponding polyisocyanates may be obtained by phosgenating the polyarylamines.
