Abstract

1296003 Packaging in bags G STUMPF 19 April 1971 [18 Nov 1970] 21864/71 Heading B8C An article 14 to be packed slides down an adjustable shoot 1 into a plastic bag supported on a horizontal table 15 and opened by two air nozzles 3a, 3b, and carries the bag to an inclined table 14 where the bag is closed by heat sealing arms 5a, 5b. Two stops 8 and a microswitch 7 for actuating the sealing arms project through slots in the inclined table 14 and are adjustable for various bag-lengths. Laterally adjustable guides 2, 4 and 10 are provided on the shoot 1, and the tables 15, 14. Scrap material cut from the bags during sealing is removed by an air nozzle 6. The closed bags are removed by a conveyer 12.
