1280103 Finishing fabrics L S ANFRUNS 13 April 1970 [12 April 1969] 17430/70 Heading D1S An electrically-heated form for heat setting socks or stockings comprises a plate 1 forming a flat toe portion 2 and a heel portion 3 which extends (substantially) perpendicularly to the plane of the plate 1 which defines the toe portion of the form for the purpose of allowing the foot of a sock or stocking to have a transverse line of fold instead of a vertical one when worn thereby imparting the maximum width to the sock or stocking and facilitating the introduction of a human foot into the sock or stocking. The portion 2 may be formed with or without toes.
