Abstract
1,274,192. Forms of wood. W. H. SEKULES. 14 May, 1969 [14 May, 1968; 11 June, 1968], Nos. 22722/68 and 27643/68. Heading B5L. [Also in Division A4] A board 10, Fig. 3B, has strips 14 with apertures 16 secured in channels 12 and a veneer layer 17 covering the board. Two boards are interconnected by connectors which perforate the veneer 17 and engage in the apertures 16. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) boards 10 are connected edgewise by I-shaped strips (18). A wardrobe (Fig. 4, not shown) is formed from four boards (see Fig. 3A, not shown) providing the top, floor and sides, the boards being joined by bolts screwed through angle brackets (19, Fig. 4a, not shown) and into the apertures 16. A back panel is connected to the walls by corner brackets. Two boards provide doors and are connected by hinges (26, Fig. 4c, not shown). A dividing wall comprises a board shown in Fig. 3B (or Fig. 2) and is secured by angle brackets (19). Shelves comprise boards (shown in Fig. 3A) and are secured by brackets (19) so as to be height adjustable. Drawers run on runners (21, Fig. 4d, not shown) secured to the strips 14. Supports (22, Fig. 4b, not shown) may also be secured to strips 14 for mounting a bar (23). The strips 14 comprise metal or plastics and the veneer 17 comprises wood or plastics.
