Abstract
1,272,156. Metal acyl alcoholates. LEUNAWERKE WALTER ULBRICHT VEB. 24 June, 1970, No. 30664/70. Heading C2C. Mixed acyl metal alcoholates of general formula Me<SP>1</SP>Me<SP>2</SP>(OR) x (Ac) y , wherein Me<SP>1</SP> is sodium, lithium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, copper, nickel and cobalt and Me<SP>2</SP> is aluminium, antimony, titanium, tin or zirconium, OR is an alcoholate in which R is alkyl C 1 to C 18 , Ac is a monobasic organic acid radical C 1 to C 22 and X and Y are dependent on the valency of the metals, are prepared by reacting anhydrous metal carboxylates with the metal alcoholates in the presence of a solvent. Solvents such as anhydrous alcohol, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons, dimethyl formamide, higher ethers, dioxane or tetrahydrofuran may be used. Examples describe the preparation of compounds from sodium acetate, sodium palmitate, magnesium acetate, zinc acetate, calcium acetate, ferric acetate with aluminium isopropylate.
