Abstract

1,267,809. Container. WILMOT PACKAGING Ltd. 4 Dec., 1969 [4 Dec., 1968], No. 57639/68. Heading B8P. A container consisting of panels (1, Fig. 1) and a frame holding the panels together wherein the frame comprises eight rigid plastics edge strips 2 and 10 and eight corner pieces (3, Figs. 1 and 2) interconnected by telescopically interfitting joints. Each edge strip 2, 10 and each corner piece (3) has a channel portion or portions 13, 15, 17 and (11, Fig. 2) which engage over the edge of the panel or panels associated with each edge strip and corner piece. The container also has a lid (6, Fig. 1) consisting of a panel (6a) having at its periphery edge strips (7) and corner pieces (8), the edge strips (7) having a downwardly extending channel which, when the lid (6) is closed on to the container, fits over the edge strips 10 extending around the top of the body of the container.
