Abstract

1,250,806. Rotary conveyers for agricultural material. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR A.G. 12 Nov., 1968 [15 Nov., 1967], No. 53486/68. Heading B8A. [Also in Division A4] A rotary cutting cylinder 1 has radially pro jecting cutting tools 2 which are transverse to the cylinder axis and have their ends bent over parallel to said axis, and radially projecting material conveying tools of which some, 5, are parallel to said axis and others, 4, extend obliquely to said axis. The cutting edges 3 of the cutting tools are inclined rearwardly, with respect to the direction of rotation, both along their radial and bent-over parts. The tools are arranged in the same rows as some of the cutting tools 2 and the tools 5 are provided between cutting tool rows. At least one of the tools 4 is provided near each end of the cylinder to ensure that a clean working edge is obtained, the other tools 4 feeding material towards the centre of the cylinder length. The cylinder may be arranged so that as it rotates about its axis it is moved bodily up and down or in circles.
