Abstract

1,227,377. Coated products. A. KOLCKMANN O.H.G. 19 July, 1968 [3 Aug., 1967], No. 34480/68. Heading B2E. [Also in Division A4] An anti-slip underlay for use between a pile carpet and a rug or mat, comprises a lattice-like structure of textile or other suitable material, both sides of the structure being rendered anti-slip, at least one side thereof being coated with an adhesive such as a softened plastics material and flocked with fibres adhering to the elements of the lattice structure, the fibres being radially aligned with respect to that element to which they adhere. Both sides of the structure may be coated with the plastics material and in addition either one side or both sides of the structure may be coated with flock. Further, the flock on one side may be of a different colour from the flock on the other side.
