Lever-actuated pumps; multiple-delivery piston pumps; pumps in series ; rod-guides; indicating action of; regulating delivery of varying volume of pump barrel; suction reservoirs; valves, arrangement.-In a libricating-pump of the kind comprising a pump-barrel, a plunger sliding therein and controlling an inlet port in the side of the barrel, a member sliding in one end of the barrel and controlling a discharge port in the side of the barrel, and a yielding device which forces the sliding member towards the plunger, means are provided for adjusting the degree of movement of the sliding member for the purpose of regulating the amount of liquid drawn into the barrel. In one form, the sliding member E controlling the delivery port B<2> is in the form of a sleeve on the rod C<1> of the piston C, and it carries a stirrup E<1>, the downward movement of which is limited bv the head F<1> of a rod F. The rod F is adjusted by means of a nut F<2> so as to regulate the movement of the member E towards the plunger under the pressure of the spring H. The oil enters the barrel B through a port B<1> and is discharged through a pipe J into a sight-chamber J<1>, from which it passes through a pipe J<2> into a barrel K and is discharged through a valve K<1> on the downstroke of the plunger. The plunger is actuated by a cam and lever D.
