1,223,099. Capacitors. ORDENA TRUDOVOGO KRASNOGO ZNAMENI ZAVOD ELEKTROIZMERITELNYKH PRIBOROV. 29 July, 1969, No. 37888/69. Heading HIM. A push-button key unit of a data input device comprises push-rod 2 with pull-back spring 3 and actuation of the push-button moves isolated capacitor electrode 4 towards or away from fixed electrodes 5 mounted on insulating packing 6 on frame 1. Electrode 4 is attached to push-rod 2 through insulated packing 7 acting as a shock absorber, and is coated with dielectric layer 8. One fixed electrode is connected to an external voltage source, the other is coupled with the input of an amplifier of the device. To increase the maximum to minimum capacitor ratio, the push-rod may carry a second oppositely facing isolated electrode, and the assembly moves between two pairs of fixed electrodes (Fig. 2, not shown), and the two moving electrodes may be electrically interconnected, or replaced by a single plate, to increase the selection ratio. A keyboard may comprise a number of the units, with the fixed electrodes mounted on a common support or supports.
