122,120. Fairweather, S. D. June 6, 1918. Constructions of boots and shoes for ordinary wear; soles.-A boot or shoe is constructed so that the joint of the big toe, the toes themselves, the outer part of the sole of the foot, and the heel rest on one plane parallel to the tread of the outer sole 2 and heel 1, which are co-planar, while under the waist 3 the sole is curved transversely and longitudinally to correspond to the arch of the foot, and may be stiffened by a metal spring. The inner edge of the boot is preferably straight. Figs. 1 and 2 show respectively inner and outer views of a left boot.
