The elements 10 may be grooved or tubular and have wire reinforcement or may be combined in multielements. The units may be used as roof or wall cladding by supporting the units adjacently on wires or rods passing through the core formers 11 to overlap a row of units below, the units of each row being retained by a wire running over the upper surface of each row.
