Abstract

1,210,222. Wind deflectors. PERCY LANE Ltd. 27 June, 1968 [7 July, 1967], No. 31404/67. Heading B7J. [Also in Division F4] A window frame has ventilation means in the form of an apertured slide movable between open and closed positions. A fly screen and also an integral canopy 48 which conceals the apertures and prevents the ingress of rain may be provided. The slide, moved by a knob 42, is carried in guides 38 in a member 32 fitted in the upper frame member 12 and having a groove 28 engaged by the tops of the glass and its sealing strip 30. The apertures may be rectangular or circular. The slide may be of metal or a plastics material. Sponge rubber stops (46, Fig. 1) are provided at the ends of the guides 38. The window may be hinged along its top edge (Fig. 3); alternatively (Fig. 4) the device may be applied to sliding windows. The device can be incorporated in the lower frame of a window instead of the upper frame.
