Abstract
1,209,729. Photo-electric exposure arrangements; view-finders. RICOH K. K. Aug. 13, 1969 [Aug. 19, 1968], No.40380/69. Heading G2A. An exposure arrangement comprises a viewfinder which has a penta prism or penta roof reflecting mirror 1 having a light inlet 1a and a light outlet 1c, first photo-electric means 4 mounted adjacent the light outlet and directed to receive only light passing through a predetermined part of the light inlet, second photo-electric means 5 mounted adjacent the light outlet and arranged to receive light reflected by a final reflecting surface 1b of the prism or mirror, and an electric circuit selectively responsive to the output of the first or the second photo-electric means whereby to give respectively a selective or an average light exposure indication. The second photoelectric means consists of two elements arranged on either side of a view-finder eye-piece 2. In the case of a prism a slanting surface (1ca) Fig.3 (not shown) is provided against element 4 to obviate light losses by reflection and refraction. A condenser or lattice may be positioned in front of the photo-electric elements to increase the intensity of light received by the elements.
