Abstract

1,205,369. Gun sights. KELLER & KNAPPICH G.m.b.H. 8 July, 1969 [19 July, 1968], No. 34357/69. Heading F3C. A mechanical device which couples an elevating lever of a gun barrel (Fig. 2, not shown) with an elevating lever 12 of an optical sight 20 comprises a lever 9 freely rotatable about the pivot axis of the elevating lever 12 and connected thereto by a spring 17. The lever 9 is coupled to the elevating lever of the gun barrel by parallel lever couplings and the angular disposition of the lever 9 is adjustable with respect to the elevating lever 12 by an adjustable spindle 18 such that the relative orientations of the sight and gun barrel are adjusted for the range of firing. In the construction shown the adjustable spindle 18 is provided with a target range scale 19. A cam for adjusting the angular dispositions of the levers 9, 12 into one of three positions may be pivotally mounted on the lever 12 (Fig. 2, not shown).
