1,203,795. Rotary-scythe mowers. DAYCO CORP. 22 Aug., 1967 [14 Sept., 1966; 24 Oct., 1966 (3); 7 Dec., 1966], No. 38518/67. Addition to 1,198,518. Heading A1F. A rotary-scythe lawn-mower blade, in which the blade has those ends thereof which carry the cutting edges composed entirely of a non-reinforced flexible polyurethane elastomeric material, is characterized in that the cross-sectional profile of each blade-part which includes a cutting edge decreases in thickness in the direction from the cutting edge to an area between the cutting edge and the oppositely-located trailing edge of the bladepart, and then increases in thickness again towards said trailing edge. As in Specification 1,198,518, the flexible blades are secured to the vertical mower-spindle by plates of metal or rigid plastics.
