Abstract

1,155,464. Mowing machine. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. 12 July, 1966 [21 July, 1965], No. 31156/66. Heading A1F. A reciprocating mower is provided with knife section guards 11 having finger and lip portions 16, 23 respectively with surfaces 22, 24 thereof each provided with cutting edges. Cutter bar knife sections 31, mounted for movement between said surfaces, have cutting edges 33, 34 on one face and are positioned in alternately inverted relation so that one knife section cuttingly engages a surface 22 and an adjacent knife section cuttingly engages a surface 24. Hold down members 13 may also be provided.
