736,982. Reaping-machines. HOWARD & DENNIS, Ltd., and HOWARD, E. J. Oct. 26, 1953 [Oct. 25, 1952], No. 26827/52. Class 6 (3). The reciprocating cutter-bar 1 of a reaping machine incorporates both saw-teeth 3 and shear-blades 2 arranged alternately, the base portions of both types of teeth being identical so that the side edges 3a of the saw-teeth are sharpened. The cutter-bar co-operates with the usual finger-bar 5 having fixed fingers 6. The mower will cut thick stems such as those of Papyrus.
