Abstract

119,988. Fairbrother, H., (Ilc, fl'.). March 9, 1918. Couplings and connectors.-A plub connector comprises a porcelain block 2 ,with a screwthreaded metal casing 3 and a central bolt 10 passing through a hole in the porcelain and supporting a member (i with downwardly turned arms. The casing 3 is secured by an inturned flange 8 at the upper end, and bv indenting the lower end into recesses in the porcelain. Threaded sockets 14 of spun sheet metal are provided at their upper ends with inturned flanges which are held between insulating disks 17, 18 secured to the member 6 by central contacts 13. The sockets 14 are connected to the casing 3 by metal strips 19, and the body 1 of the connector is then moulded in place as shown.
