Abstract

474,073. Swivelling - couplings. LEE, B., and BEVIS, F. P. Jan. 24, 1936, No. 2319. Addition to 453,360. [Class 38 (i)] In a rotary electric coupling as described in the parent Specification, the terminals associated with one of the rotatable parts are mounted on a removable plate. The plate 21, retained by the cover 25, carries three terminals, one making contact through a spring 22<11> with a ring 13 connected to a ring 12, the centre one having a spring and plunger bearing on a stud, and a third one similarly bearing on a ring 8. A collar 4 having a conducting ring 11 is screwed against the ring 12 and retains a ball-race 10 which runs on a ring 7, which is thus in electrical connection with the ring 13. The rings 7 and 8 and the central stud are connected to equally spaced contacts 6 on the member 5 to engage with a terminal element 15 as described in Specification 474,074.
