[Also in Division F1] A fan installation for diluting combustion products, e.g. from a gas-burning apparatus, before discharging them to atmosphere, comprises a centrifugal fan having a casing 1 provided with an inlet 6 for partially diluted flue gases, and an inlet 4 for dilution air. The driving motor 7 is mounted, e.g. by resilient means, in the inlet 4 so as to be immersed in the cool air and thereby unaffected by the temperature and constituents of the flue gases. When air is drawn into the inlet 4, a flowresponsive switch 8 is actuated to allow fuel to be fed to burners of the apparatus.
