[Also in Division F2] A fluid distribution valve for the sequential operation of machine elements as described in Specification 1,191,666 comprises a spindle 120 supporting a rotor 132, a first passage 97, 138 formed in the spindle and communicating with a first gallery 139, a second passage 67, 140 formed in the spindle and communicating with a gallery 141 axially spaced from the gallery 139, sealing means 142 between the galleries, a non-rotary member 124 with a first and second series of ports 153, and 154, respectively, a first passage 144, 146 formed in the rotor and communicating the gallery 139 with a selected port in the series 153, a second passage 145, 147 formed in the rotor and connecting the gallery 141 with a selected port in the series 154, sealing means 149 and 150 between the members 132 and 124 for sealing the first and second rotor passagss respectively, and indexing means, e.g. a ratchet 90 and pawl 89 moved by a fluid piston 87 controlled by a spool valve, to rotate the rotor in angular increments. The rotary member 132 has position indicators marked on its face, that can be viewed through an aperture 168 in the member 124. The stationary member 124 and a bearing plate 129 may be disposed annularly about the member 132. In Fig. 4 (not shown) a slide valve (176) operates in a slot (201) in a cylinder 81 to control flow through a line 179, and is actuated by the piston 87 via a piston rod 88 and rivet shank 157.
